Low-carb food – the benefits at a glance!
You’ve probably noticed that I advocate a low-carbohydrate life. I am convinced – and with many other experts – that low- carbohydrate food causes you to lose weight, get a healthier body, have more energy and ultimately feel better in your skin.
And more importantly: that you can actually keep up! If low- carbohydrate food really becomes your lifestyle , you can continue to stick to it all your life, unlike many other ‘diets’. In this article I like to give you the benefits of low-carbohydrate food.

A low-carbohydrate diet is not really a diet at all – it’s a lifestyle ! A way of life with which you will finally really lose weight.

By eating low carbohydrate you do not feel hunger yourself. On the contrary, you can continue to eat enough and at the same time lose weight , get energy and look healthy. You replace the products with unhealthy carbohydrates with products that contain a lot of good fats and proteins. This keeps you feeling full for longer and you have less need to snack.
3. You stay slim
Do you find it so difficult to stay on weight after a diet? Often many women fall back into their old habits and the kilos just fly on again. But not if you keep an eye on your carbs. Carbohydrates deliver energy quickly. Your body converts the carbohydrates that come in into glucose and uses that as energy. (Fast) carbohydrates – think of bread and pasta – cause after dinner dips. After eating carbohydrates and sugars your blood sugar level rises. By means of a low-carbohydrate diet you can better control your blood sugar. This can mean that you need less medication and there are even people who have completely got rid of their diabetes by taking less carbohydrates!
14. Do you have insulin resistance
In the case of insulin resistance – the precursor of diabetes – low-carbohydrate food can also be the solution. Your body makes insulin at the moment you ingest fast carbohydrates, so that they are converted into energy. If you constantly get carbohydrates inside, your body is constantly working to convert it. This way you can become less sensitive to insulin at a given moment.

What has changed with our food?
Man’s dietary pattern has changed drastically over the centuries. The greatest changes, however, occurred in the last century, when mass production increased in size. Because with the arrival of machines one could produce more food, and preferably with cheap ingredients, to maximize the profit. But also the renovation of natural food, such as vegetables and fruit, changed. Vegetables should grow faster and bigger, and that the nutritional values deteriorate, there was a manufacturer not involved.
Cookies without oven
Even though there would be evidence that people were already cooking, baking, and grilling their food during the Stone Age, there is of course nothing more than an easy recipe for cookies that you do not have to bake. So called ‘no bake’ cookies. Especially in a Berlin mini-apartment where the temperatures in the summer rise significantly, it is nice if the oven does not have to. And: you can also make them at the campsite!
This creation consists of only four ingredients and is made in no time. The walnut cookies only need some time to stiffen in the fridge.
The walnut biscuits are entirely made according to the Paleo standard, so without flour. And that means that these walnut cookies are gluten-free and vegan too. And low-carbohydrate of course! This way you can enjoy a little treat with your coffee or tea without worrying. Whether or not with a good book.

I have to say that these cookies are for real diehard peanut butter fans. The cookies have a full sweet peanut butter taste, are crunchy on the outside and a little harder on the inside. For some extra crispiness I rolled them through the sugar. In addition, these cookies are gluten- and lactose-free!
My friends pointed out this Peanut Butter Cookies recipe. I almost did not believe how easy it was: a cup of peanut butter, a cup of sugar and 1 egg = peanut butter biscuits. I had to try it myself! And still the same evening. I have converted everything for you into the recipe.

And that’s how you do it
– Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and top with a baking tray with parchment paper
– Take a mixing bowl and mix the peanut butter with the sugar. Add the egg after 1 minute and mix until it is one whole.
– Now make balls of the peanut butter batter and press them flat on the baking sheet with a fork, so you get the diamond pattern. Optionally, you can still dab the cookies in a bowl with sugar, so they get a crispy layer of sugar.
– Bake the cookies in 12 minutes. Let them cool well before you eat them, otherwise they are still completely soft.
